Walk Overview

Arnison Crag is the first walk depicted in Book One of Wainwright`s Guide books.
It is easily reached from the main road running through Patterdale and is what
I would describe as a "filler in" walk if the weather is too uncertain for a longer walk

The White Lion in Pattedale

The walk starts outside the White Lion Inn car park at Patterdale. There is space
for several cars to park at the side of the main road

After about five minutes walking the path leads to a gate which gives access
to the open fell side

Follow the path round through a line of crags to the Glemara Park boundary wall
