Walk Overview
The Indian summer on our week away in Lakeland continued. Given the heat we
decided on a smaller climb, that of Binsey being the most Northerly of
Wainwright Fells.
The back end of September in the Lake District ... Honestly !!
Just off the main road from Keswick to Carlisle at Beweldeth a layby provides
ample free parking
Looking over towards Binsey from the main road
Over the road and through the gate to follow the Farm track
A very pleasant start to the walk
The Western face of Binsey dominates the view
Looking across to Skiddaw from the track
Through the gate at the end of the track and follow the path that
leads onto the open Fell side
Heading towards the West Crag of Binsey
Through the gate at the intake wall and turn left
Heed the warning well if you are walking with a dog
The path swings left to take advantage of the easier slope
A busy bee!
The path swings right to pass the front face of West Crag
