Walk Overview

A walk that barely merits a full blog, but for completeness, here goes. Today we had
intended doing the Stickle Pike round of Fells, however due to a technology fail on
the Navigation side we had to abort. Given we had drove up from Merseyside we
decided to "officially" do Great Worm Crag, which we had done previously during
our 214 round when we did Green Crag

The start point of the walk from The Birker Fell Road

From Ulpha, take the Birker Fell Road which initially climbs steeply. Once
levelled out, travel past Crosby Farm shop and a cattle grid and at the
approximate highest point on the road, car parking is freely provided by a number
of impromptu grass verges where its possible to park randomly without blocking the road
An obvious wide track marks the start of the walk

The Quad Bike track starts off initially boggy, but improves as height is gained

At this point we have reached the high ground (previous photo). Its now time to
swing left and aim for the right hand shoulder of Great Worm Crag. There is a faint
grass trod of sorts to follow, however it is intermittent
