Walk Overview

A challenging round of 7 Wainwright Fells with some steep ups and downs.
Good paths throughout it is described as a moderate to hard circuit, it is hard

The Garburn Road

Parking for this walk is notoriously difficult, since the Farmers field was closed off.
My best advice is to get to St Cuthberts Church in Kentmere Hamlet AS EARLY
AS POSSIBLE. There are 7 spaces then bugger all else. From the Church the walk
starts along the stony Garburn Road track and climbs gently

Go through the hand gate

Through the hand gate and the track starts to rise more steeply

The reengineered path

Part of the track has been fortified by the "Fix the Fells" team

At the top of the pass and through the gate and the track turns from stone to boggy grass

The boggy ground

From the gate, take a right turn, crossing the boggy terrain and aim for
the rising stone wall

The stone wall

When possible, make your way right to run parallel with the wall for easier terrain

Heading towards the wall stile

The path leads to a wall that gives access to the summit approach to the first
fell of the round ... Yoke

At this point you get a better appreciation of the extent of the walk. Here the

At this point I have just dropped down from Froswick and am looking back up
the descent path which gives an idea of the severity of the drop
